Tough day for EIU hoops hopes

It appears Iowa fans are expecting Wieskamp to step up big time next year. I watched him playing few times this year and I wasn’t overly impressed. Good player but not a great player . As he is expected to shoot more this year, he will average more points per game but his shooting percentage will go down significantly. I will be really surprised if he shoots over 40% from 3 pt again in his career. He shot over 40% from 3 pts mainly due to careful shot selection. He is a good spot up shooter but not a great shooter like Bohannon.
Wieskamp is very good. The only problem he has is he will have no help. Like at all. So many glaring holes in that roster I'm not sure how Iowa fans can pretend to overlook. Garza will be the worst defensive player in the conference if Bohannon is out and Connor is guaranteed to play more minutes than last year. That's just crazy.
The reality is this could be the least talented team Fran has put together since year 1 at Iowa
How's spring recruiting going for the Hoks? Should be some news soon, right?
Not good. But if you can't recruit well, just try to get the rules changed.

Yeah, Wieskamp is a baller. They are so lucky he fell into their laps.
They would be awful without him.
It mentions he's added about 15 pounds of muscle since the season ended. West must have one hell of a strength coach to do that in 2.5 months.
Is there some rule somewhere that if you cover sports in this state, especially Hawkeye sports, you have to be a fan of the Hawkeyes?
This guy will walk-on with the Hoks. No need to offer a scholarship.

Even the most diehard Hok fan has to see the lack of recruiting connection to both Fran kids sucking up major playing time. Fran has to have some sort of Barta voodoo doll that he can stick pins into...

I'm not sure if it's jealousy, per se, but it can't have been a fun spring for Iowa fans. They had 3 players leave the program early, and Jorbo could be out all year. And to fill their holes, Fran has... given a scholarship to a walk on. That's got to have been frustrating.
It's getting pretty late in the game for adding talent for next season.
