Snowflake ref

Ejected the entire fan section for being upset over a call? Don't know if anyone said anything out of line, but even then, quite the overreaction.

No reason to even make that call. Yea he left the line, but the shot was in the middle of the goal. Leaving the line early gave the goalie zero advantage.

I'd love to hear the whole story. From the outside it looks like an extremely thin-skinned ref on a power trip
Yeah, that's it...or maybe it's the punks/cowards in the stands who yell threats at the refs, while hiding in the "safe anonymity of the crowd," and the bystanders who lack the balls to tell them to shut up.
After everyone had been warned...

So what sports do you officiate?

The writer for the Marshalltown paper used the terms "consternation", "aggression", "verbal assault", and "irate" when describing the Marshalltown fans' reaction.

So maybe the removal of spectators was indeed warranted.

Does that matter? Is it only a penalty if an advantage is gained?
In soccer it probably does. Advantage is regularly played. Don’t know the rules well enough to have an opinion here though.

Not sure what happened but seems like an overreaction to eject everyone. It wouldn’t surprise me if some people did something to be ejected. It would surprise me if everyone did.
