Friday OT: Rock & Gown

From May of 1973 (cue the laughter):

Unlike @ImJustKCClone, I chose the #1 R&B song from that year:

Others I always associate with that time:
Crocodile Rock by Elton John
Angie by the Stones
We're An American Band by Grand Funk Railroad

Also, add America, by Simon & Garfunkel to your "others" list. It came out in late 72, so it was during our senior year.

I need to do the 3 clips that I associate with my graduating year in two parts. First, here are the three I associate for myself.

This version of this song is way better than Aerosmith's original.

It seems like there should be something by a hair band but I only looked at the top 100 songs.

End of year cher believe

Week of living la vida loca Ricky Martin

3 I associate are from my first otn post

Green Day Good Riddance (time of your life) it was the runner up to our class song choice

Vitamin C graduation released in 99

Baz Luhrmann Sunscreen song because of opening where addresses the class of 99

Maria Maria by Santana featuring the product G&B for both.

What a stupid song.

The #1 song the year I graduated was the truly dreadful
Wings "Silly Love Songs"

For the whole year: Bryan Adams "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You"
At graduation time: Mariah Carey "I Don't Wanna Cry"

I can admit to owning the single for the first, and the full LP for the second. The first was "our song" for one of my relationships that year. lol

That is one of the vixen's all-time favorite songs. If it's playing, we have to dance to it.
