I have a coworker who used to be security at Wal Mart, she said they typically don't press charges if its under $25 but you are forced to pay restitution. She also said, the employees can't follow a suspected shoplifter beyond the door, they are asked to get as much info as possible and let the person walk out. That could explain why this took so long to sort out

I thought Marty wanted the most-talented playing no matter what, so would have thought he'd have laughed off this for THT. Maybe I'm confusing Marty & jereseib... or, are they the same person?
I wondered what 5th degree entails, too lazy to do the research. I assume 5th is the lowest level for misdemeanor charge. If not, and let's say 5th degree is "thought about shoplifting," 6th degree would be, what, maybe dreaming it happened?
