My comparison isn't completely without flaw. Iowa also has wrestling, Bama/Clemson are only elite in one sport.

Always concerns me when you agree with me. You have wrestling, we have cross country. But that is all beside the point....

How can the elite of the elites not have even a decent basketball program? Does it just bore your fan base? Is everyone too obsessed with overpaying a football coach?

It's a solid question. Ohio St. has proven it's possible. Bama/Clemson/Iowa need to take a good look at how Ohio St. is getting it done in MBB. Especially given that they're in the toughest MBB conference in the country. There's really no excuse for Bama.
