Tough day for EIU hoops hopes

It bothers me that you have a better basketball program and have for the past 20 years. And the biggest reason that is, is because of Iowa's failures as a basketball program.

Gotcha. So does it bother you more that we have a better AD than you or a better football/basketball coach combo?

And that gets at the central question - How can such an elite school in such an elite conference with such an elite fan base, fail so horribly in establishing a men's basketball program?

You have a better AD by default. Until the past couple of hirings, Pollard had a horrible track record at hiring coaches. Most ADs don't get that long of a time to make it right. He has done very well with his last couple of hires though.

I still feel KF is a better coach overall, but Campbell is younger with more potential at this point. See if he can do it for the long haul.

Prohm, really hasn't done that well with what he was given if you ask me. Since he has most of his own players, he has finished last in the conference and really underachieved this past season imo. I feel next year they will be a bubble team with their current roster. If they don't land an instant transfer that can make a difference, then I feel they are on the wrong side of the bubble.

Till joins fellow dubuque native pemsl in Iowa's quest for back to back superbowl wins. You couldn't write fan fiction this good. Just can't make this stuff up

We're a lot like Bama and Clemson in that respect. It is puzzling though.

You really didn't answer the question though.

You said it bothers you we have the better basketball program. You never said if it bothers you more that we have a better FB/BB coach combo than you or if it bothers you more we have Pollard and you have Barta. Barta is a big reason we have a better basketball program so I'm confused
