Sensory deprivation chambers sessions

It’s only like $50-$80 depending where you are. Not cheap, but you certainly don’t have to be rich to do it either.

Yeah. But I guess I assume it’s not a one time thing. Even if you do it once per month, that’s a really expensive gym membership.

Exactly what is this? Do you sit naked in a dark, noiseless room? Besides the naked part, I think I would just fall asleep or ask for it to be a couple days for the peace and quiet.

It's sort of like a coffin (with air flow for you to breathe) with water at the bottom in which you lie. Dark, quiet, no sensory input.

So you are laying in water?

You are! Here's a rando Google image - it was the best I could find that sort of described it, but obviously they turn off the lights:

60-90 minutes alone, in water? What do you do when you have to go to the bathroom? Remember, I'm over 50 and drink too much coffee.

I wonder what this experience would be like with tinnitus (constant ringing in the ears)? With no ambient noise, I'm thinking it would make my tinnitus stand out even more and probably drive me insane.

If she is also in there, then I'm there. Otherwise, I dislike water enough that I would be mad about that.

Also, that looks like an oversized toilet.

It’s super salty water (10x the amount in the ocean, so you float) and it’s kept at 94 degrees, which is the outside temp of the human body, so it’s made to feel like you can’t feel anything. It removes the sense of feel, sight (its pitch black), sound, etc. removes all senses.

I'm always tired, so I think I would probably just fall asleep.

I googled them and looked at the images. Apparently only women in bikinis do these things. I'm not female and I'm not wearing a bikini so I guess I'm out.

Although I did see one that looked like a home made jobber.

oh no thank you. That's the setup for my worst way to die. Enclosed in a coffin and slowly drowned.
