I thought we were slow playing him? Tucker must be a very slim/none hope. All good.
It seemed like many didn't want Johnson, but I love the addition. He looks like a springy 2/3 that has a good looking shot and is long. If he makes the same type of strides in the off-season that shayok made and what we have heard Nixon has made, this is a great add. Potential is there to be a high level player.
I read that as we're out on Tucker. Hopefully we land Bolton and he gets his waiver.
Bolton, Haliburton, Nixon, Jacobson, Conditt as your starters. Solo, and the next best guard off the bench.
Tucker is a grad transfer. I would imagine this has little to do with Tucker or any instant impact guy. I think this impacts Bolton more.
Hope we didn’t pass on Bolton for Johnson.

I love that this kid gets to sit a year to polish up his game, he looks to be perfect fit for what Prohm likes to do on offense. Getting him for 2 years is also nice, gives him a big upside.
We have Tre Jackson, Haliburton, and Nixon as primary ball handlers next year. The following year we will have experience at the position and Prohm has proven he knows high level point guards. Bolton showed production at Penn State, I get it, but he is less of a need than strong wings.
But we may lose both Nixon and Haliburton so it would be nice to have another guard in the fold, whether he sits a year or not. Nothing to fret about but it is interesting.
It's possible to lose both, I don't anticipate losing Haliburton anytime soon though... Seems like the type of kid who loves college and isn't worried about the NBA. He didn't even enter his name this year when it would have been beneficial to him.

I'm confused how a sit out transfer is a back up plan for a GT. Having Grill and Jackson in the 2019 class would seem Bolton would be more affected but what do I know.
With this turn of events I'd guess Jackson backs up Haliburton and Nixon while Grill could be competing to start at the three with Leech and Lewis.
Not forgetting Griffin, see him as our small ball four, but he could also figure at the three.

I highly doubt that's the case considering Bolton is there visiting as we speak. More likely IMO, it could mean that Tucker has informed us that he's going in a different direction.
Filling two scholarships (Grill and Johnson) means one of THT or Wigginton are 100% gone. My money is on THT. Wigginton is probably 99.69% gone.
I think he could be a real solid player for us after his sit out year. Good pick up.
