It's hard for me to believe actually that Texas Tech is in the Final Four. (just cuz of their history). But kudos to them. I really hope they play well and remove Izzo's crew for Monday. Just read an article on the Tech 'defensive' mastermind assistant and how well prepared their team always is and how well they coach their team to know exactly what the other team is doing on offense. Take teams out of their 'game'. Isn't it interesting that not only did we beat them this year, but that final game went down to the wire. In other words, our offense held their own, imo. Unlike some fans, I'm actually more anxious and interested in seeing the team better on defense and rebounding next season, vs. offense.

Yeah, Izzo and MSU can fall off the edge of the universe as far as I am concerned. Sick of them hacking the crap out of everyone and getting 25% of the fouls called on them because Izzo is working the refs before the game starts.

Gives the country something to think about. Big XII is always looked at as "KU" and whatever.

Needed this to maybe open some otherwise ignorant MBB college game casual fans to the conference.
The Big 12 has had 3 different final four teams over the past 4 years, I think that is as many, or more than any other conference. Kansas, Texas Tech and Oklahoma.

ACC has had Carolina, Syracuse and Virginia. And they add a 4th team, Duke, if you bump it out to the last 5 years and a 5th team, Louisville, if you bump it out to 7 years (though 'Ville was in the Big East at the time).

But yes, having a few more Big 12 teams make the Final Four is undoubtedly great for our national reputation, not to mention our future TV contracts.

I was shocked that KU is the only title winner since the Big XII was formed. There have been so many opportunities by other teams that the ball just bounced the wrong way. iSU definitely should have had one in 2000, maybe a couple other outside runs inlcuding this year.. Baylor, OU, OSU, WVU, KSU, and now Tech have been mighty close. Even Missouri could've got there once. A$M, Nebraska, TCU, and Colorado are the only ones that were not legitimate teams to make it.

Watching this past week...it's obvious we need to be much stronger defensively as a team. And a more consistent 3 point shooting team. Tougher willed. Tougher minded.

Yeah, sort of. We didn't need to be anything else when we played them in Lubbock!

I'm cheering for Virginia. I don't root for Big 12 teams in the tournament. I don't want the conference to fall on it's face but I don't want our direct competition to do too well. Winning a National Championship is too well for me.

Caveat: Unless playing a Big 10 team.
