NIT field

Bradley won the tournament. I think the MVC only got one team in this time...
Bradley won the mvc tourney, but Drake and Loyola won regular season. Regular season champs get an auto bid in the nit if not in NCAA. Only thing I learned though that they only have to take the champ that won the tie breaker, not the loser of the tie breaker.

Really nice first round matchup with Texas and South Dakota St on ESPN. Kinda surprised UT didn't just pack up the tent and say no thanks.

So Daum and Otz have a chance to end Smart's time in Austin. I'd say a pretty good chance.

Only if you win your conference outright. KXNO talked about it a few weeks ago. You can’t split your conference title to get the automatic Nit bid.

That's not quite true. You don't need to win it outright. You just need to win the tiebreaker if it is split. Drake split with Loyola. Loyola won the tie breaker, was the #1 seed in the conference tournament and got the NIT auto bid.

I think it should just be the NCAA tourney and the NIT. Majority of people never see or hear about the rest.

Good, I thought they deserved NIT for sure, but at least they got something.

This seems a bit overdone:

"Once again The Classics will be a part of the 2019 CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament. The Coach John McLendon Classic, Hugh Durham Classic, Lou Henson Classic, Jim Phelan Classic and Riley Wallace Classics will all be contested in the first round of the CIT. At the conclusion of each game a trophy will be presented to the winning team, which will then advance to the second round of the tournament. -- “Get the Trophy and Advance.”"
