Yes, apparently he was helping on the Dline this year and in hindsight that was probably in anticipation of Morgan retiring.
If I had to bet I think the assistant they add will come from the Iowa high school coaching ranks. Morgan basically covered Iowa recruitment
I've said it before that Iowa under performed last year. Should have been a 10-2 year.
Iowa had more talent than Alabama and Clemson combined? KF must be falling on his facing coaching the team.
More talent than the teams in the title? They should have been in the championship at minimum then.
Those are just the players that attended the combine. Iowa once again showed they are one of the best developmental programs out there. Taking a bunch of three star recruits and turning them into good NFL prospects.
That was the point of my sarcastic post. Those are just the ones who attended and basically did something. Some guys showed up and interviewed but didn't test. Some did some tests while others did all or none. Puffing some random service giving medals for combine performance is fools gold.
Interesting. I bet Belichick would like Fant to be there at #32. Wonder if they'd move up a couple spots.
Hock seems like more of a Patriot player than Fant. Hock is more kittle/gronk and Fant is more Graham/Sharpe type. Not saying either player will be as good as those guys, but that is more of their style of play.
Fant is probably very similar to Hernandez who was great at NE in his time there
