Iowa BB Player Tweets about ISU After Loss

Just a few weeks away from watching Iowa State making a MUCH deeper run in the tournament than the hoks. It’s going to be so fun around here. Iowa is making miracle shots against bad teams and their fans are fooled into thinking they are a good team. Lol, EXTEND FRAN!

I'm sorry but you think this ISU team is going to make a deep run? Doesn't that require to play well for two games in a row? They're decent but they've got a ways to go.

Iowa's lived on the edge for sure...whether that luck runs out or not is a question. Could end up like their football team that one year that went undefeated until they played someone decent.

Jbo can't hit an inside shot for the life of him. He threw an airball up from the freethrow line and tried to drive the middle and got his shot swatted. One dimensional player and the kid is a winner. Yep. Sure.

Don't forget his awesome defense! Fran subs him out late in games defensively because he's so bad.

I agree he's hit some clutch shots recently, also cost them one game, but that's it. That's what he is. He did nothing for them last night for the first 3/4ths of the game. Like I've said, some of these games against powers like Northwestern and Indiana at home wouldn't come down to the last second every time if JorBo was any good for the first 35 mins of the game.

IMO, Iowa's ceiling in the tourney with their talent is a first round win, and that's it. ISU's ceiling is probably the Elite Eight. ISU's problem is that they could lose in round one also if they play like they did against Baylor.

ISU can play at a whole different level than Iowa is capable of if ISU has their heads screwed on right IMO. But that's a big "if".

I would also like to chime in that I think Fran is a raging ****. The fact that Iowa fans filled Carver last night after the last 5 games of pretty flacid play really speaks volumes for Iowa fans and how they are willing to support the players.

Got home about 3 AM as it took about 4.5 hours to make a drive that usually takes 2.5 because of the freezing rain and sleet.

Attended the game, not by choice, but what the heck, free tickets for wife and I, with friends. Haven't been to CHA in 30 years? Gotta say it was a great crowd, although interesting that we could get 4 seats together 2 days before the game.

After a white-knuckle, 15 mpr drive home on 380, my memory isn't completely clear, but there was a pretty obvious carry on Bohannon before one of the 3's. And it sure looked like the ball was off Cook on the under the basket OB call.

However, it was still a pretty incredible performance by Bohannon. I don't care who it's against, he's repeated this now in 3 games. Miracles? Prayers? Don't care, having someone on the team who has it going is pretty huge. And it seems like teams that start winning games like that keep doing so.

OK, that's the last I'll pay attention to them. It's game day!

I assume you didn't get 4 together from the ticket office unless they were way up. I checked a week ago and it was mostly singles left for anything decent.

The only one you could argue as being "ran out" was the TCU game, and these are still likely tournament teams we're talking about as opponents. Not middling .500 teams. Wish the Big 12 grind had nights off like you do in the B1G.
Indiana is not middling, they are bad.

Like I said, go on living your life through a one game performance very early in the season that is nearly meaningless.... unless you're Fran of course and you bring a guy in for just that game that was supposedly out for the season due to injury.

In football, it was ISU's first game of the year at Iowa when Iowa already had a game under their belt and ISU played Kempt for like a quarter and Zeb Noland for 3 quarters. Surprising ISU still had a chance to win it right down to the very end actually.

In basketball, ISU just didn't have Wigginton or Solomon Young, and it was Lard's first game back. He was garbage at that time of the year compared with how he's playing now.

But go on and pat yourself on the back for those wins. They were sure big ones for ya! Super Bowls! Your players still keep tweeting about them, and how important they were. Congrats!

Weird...if Noland played three quarters and Kempt only played one, how did Kempt end up with more than twice as many pass attempts? I didn’t realize that Iowa’s success would trigger you so hard that you just start making stuff up.

Weird that you continue to use the word trigger.

You're so funny. Keep it up and you could do stand up someday and get out of that drive up window at McDonalds!

I'm VERY happy with where ISU is right now in FB, MBB, WBB, Wrestling, VB, you name it. I don't correlate how good a certain team is by how they play only at the very beginning of a season. And the future is very bright for ISU in all the sports I listed above IMO. And I'd MUCH rather have Pollard running the show than Barta, that's not even comparable. And every day I'm so grateful that ISU doesn't have Mad Fran embarrassing our school.
No, you go off rankings. And as it stands, Iowa ranks higher in all of them except volleyball. You can have VB.
