I guess Iowa's collapse will start in March this year...

He does this for every game. That way the win isn't a big deal and the loss is embarrassing. In his mind he wins either way.
So every team that is going to play Iowa that hasn't beaten a ranked team in X number of road games? And then he posts a link to that nature?

Fran has done a pretty solid job this season. His hand was a little forced with the 3 redshirts that prohibits him from going too deep in the bench.

I would bet there are few Iowa fans or Clone fans who post in this forum that had Iowa winning 20 games this season and they have already done that with 6 regular season games left to go.

I believe I predicted Iowa to win 21 or 22 games this year, and was pretty much spot on with everything I said about this team in the offseason. Of course that elicited a lot of blowback on this board, because it is impossible to say anything nice about the Hawks (even if it’s true) without getting ripped to shreds. I think it actually causes physical pain to some of the Iowa State posters here that Iowa is good at basketball.

You get ripped to shreds because its you.

You know what he means...Twins always tries to come up with some reason why [insert Iowa opponent here] sucks, and that Iowa should win easily- even if Iowa is an underdog in Vegas. That way, if Iowa wins, he can say Iowa was supposed to win, but if Iowa loses he can laugh about how much Iowa sucks.

Would be interested to read your preseason predictions if you posted them on here.

Maybe some of you could just stop being so obsessed about him then.

What are you talking about?

I’m aware. I’ve said numerous times that I would get ripped to shreds for posting that the grass is green, and it is true. Sad that you guys let your emotions get the best of you and are unable to view things from an objective and rational perspective.

What's your old username Mr. Objective?

You've been wrong plenty. Lol at the idea you are rational and objective.

Back up the truck a second here. In reality, Iowa has two really good wins and a bunch of meh. The SOS argument is great until you realize that Iowa has 1 ******* win against the top half of the conference. Iowa has gotten a lot of mileage out getting the piss kicked out of them by Michigan ST, Purdue, and Wisconsin. Seriously, the regular season ends in 3 weeks and we still don't really know what Iowa even has for a team.

I went out on a limb and said Iowa would make the NCAA tourney this year and was nearly laughed off the board.
You saying "you went out on a limb" means the majority of the public would disagree.
ESPN had them at 11
Katz had them at 9
247 had them at 10
SI had them at 11

It goes on and on. Iowa is playing better than what even the experts predicted. Not just this board.

You said Stanley was better than Purdy and Babb would be Iowa's 13th best player on their roster...

They’re on here somewhere, I’m not sure which thread. The gist of it was that Iowa would be much improved on both ends due to the ability to play Wieskamp at the three instead of Pemsl, Baer, Nunge, and Wagner; that Iowa’s starting five is actually a pretty solid line-up; that Iowa would be elite offensively and would be able to improve on defense due to Wieskamp at the 3 and better effort from Cook and Moss. Then I predicted that Iowa would compete for a spot in the NCAA Tournament and would win around 21 games.

All of that - which seems to be fairly basic analysis for anyone who watched any Iowa games last year - was roasted by the posters here. Many of them have some sort of irrational hatred and resentment for Iowa athletics- it’s both funny and concerning to witness, which is ultimately what keeps me coming back.

Iowa lost by 6 against Wisky and had the lead with 100 seconds left in the game. Not exactly getting the piss kicked out of them.
