I guess Iowa's collapse will start in March this year...

What about beating Rutgers and NW at the buzzer makes you think this?
Maryland is a terrible road team. I think they were even saying they haven’t beat a ranked team on the road since like 2002. Indiana is worse than Rutgers and Northwestern. Ohio State just lost at home to Illinois. Rutgers at home. Then Nebraska is coached by Tim Miles. What really makes you think they won’t at this point?

Iowa isn’t going to Des Moines unless they somehow get a 2 seed...which isn’t happening..

We aren’t either FWIW...committee won’t give either of our teams home cour advantage as a lower seed vs the 1-2 seeds.
I'm pretty sure Duke and North Carolina have been 4 seeds close to home, but we probably won't get the blue-blood treatment

Iowa fans relishing in the miracle wins, but the way they are doing it just brings extra attention to voters that they are barely beating crap teams. Thus the reason they fell in the rankings after beating NW!

Wouldn’t surprise me if we jump them in rankings come Monday.

Des Moines has two pods for the first two rounds, so des moines can't host a 1-4 nor 2-3 match up. The pods don't have to be in any particular region either, so DSM could be in the South and West for instance. Kansas City would have those match ups. So Iowa and ISU are both in the discussion for dsm if they get to a top 4 seed which both teams could do. I think Iowa has better odds than ISU right now since their schedule is pretty cake the rest of the way. The ncaa, doesn't officially day they try to keep top teams close, but does say they won't be away for the first round.

"the committee shall not place teams seeded on the first four lines at a potential “home-crowd disadvantage” in the first round."

Didn't you guys just get killed at home by TCU?
No, we just pounded the 1st place team on their court. Last week we lost to a team that didnt drop us out of the top 25, so most voters considered it a fluke, I would assume. Of course barely beating Rutgers should do wonders for you.

Lunardi was saying at half that the one and two seeds are practically solidified if disaster doesn’t happen and that no matter who the Big 12 champ is, they won’t be better than a 3 seed. So I can’t imagine an Iowa team that doesn’t win the conference would be a 1 or 2 seed.

Still don’t think this is a team that’s going to do well in the tournament, but they’ll end up getting themselves a pretty good seed.
