I guess Iowa's collapse will start in March this year...

Think I'm with you here. I'll say the Big Ten gets 6 + 1 of Ohio State and Minnesota. Those two have similar conference records currently but Ohio State was 36 in NET before last night and Minnesota is 58.
I think the 7 number is safe and could be 8. 7 out of 14 teams isn't really overachieving for what many people thought could be 10 teams.

I agree...in the Big12 I think the outlier is Oklahoma...basically their 42 NET ranking is because they have 0 Quad 4 games which I kind of found amazing. Don't think they deserve a bid but definitely have a shot.

Oklahoma is a curious case. They probably need to go 7-11 in conference (sitting at 3-9 right now). If they get close though you have to think the committee will like the non-conference Lon put together... They didn't play any juggernauts but went 11-1 against the 13th ranked non-conference SOS in the country. I see they do have 4 more opportunities for quadrant 1A wins as well. That's opportunity or demise.

The zero Quad 4s accounts for the non conference SOS.

It's probably a smart scheduling strategy on the whole. Then again you can never know exactly what you're up against.... they finished December with a 5 game stretch of Notre Dame, Wichita State, USC, Creighton, and @Northwestern. Basically everyone of those teams is down this year. Still, that allowed them to stack a bunch of Quad 2 wins while everyone else is playing Maryland Eastern Shore and Alabama A&M.

Off the top of my head 3 pt shooters better than him for sure would be Sullivan, Hoiberg, Dedric, Matt Thomas, Naz, Tyrus and Thug Life. All of those guys were better than Bohannon overall too. Without looking I'm guessing JVB has a better career 3 pt % because I remember that ended up but I wouldn't say he's better and D Jax is probably right there with him so he could go on the list too

Only Sullivan, McGee, Christopherson, and JVB have a higher career 3 Point FG% than JBo. Only 1 of those guys played all 4 years, so you'd assume the other guys were more refined when stepping on campus as well. He's .5% worse than Sullivan over his career so far.

This is all while playing in an offense that's pretty easy to prepare for apparently, so I would say he's definitely an elite shooter.

Elite 3 point shooter is different than elite shooter. He is a liability inside the 3 point line

I mean what’s our definition of “shooter” here. I mean we wouldn’t call a center who scores all his points on dunks and right around the rim an elite shooter

Shooter would be jump shots IMO. I mean you can't be an elite shooter if you don't even have a mid range game

True. I’m curious to see how many mid range shots he even takes though. I’ve watched most of the games and I honestly can’t recall how many mid range jumpers he even shoots

I think he's fine shooting from anywhere on the floor. I don't think you want him shooting layups. If he had a floater he could throw up with some accuracy from 10 feet I think it'd help him a lot. He'd be #2 all time for FT% in ISU history as well. The guy can shoot the ball.

There's a reason he doesn't make shots inside the 3 point line. He's short and unathletic. If he tried to have a mid range game he would struggle to create enough space to not get blocked unless they ran sets for him which they don't
