I guess Iowa's collapse will start in March this year...

He is an elite level shooter.

Bohannon against teams that were ranked at that time or are currently ranked

Oregon: 3-8 from the floor, 1-5 from 3
Wisconsin: 3-12 from the floor, 3-8 from 3
Michigan State: 4-12 from the floor, 2-7 from 3
Iowa State: 2-7 from the floor, 1-5 from 3
Purdue: 2-5 from the floor, 1-3 from 3
Ohio State: 1-7 from the floor, 1-3 from 3
Michigan State: 1-7 from the floor, 1-7 from 3
Michigan: 2-6 from the floor, 2-4 from 3

He has to take extremely hard shots cause he isn't athletic enough to create his own shot and the opposing team is coached to never leave him. This is why other people from Iowa will be left open when having to choose between Jorbo and other team members.

But leave him open and find out. He is an elite level shooter. There is a reason other teams key on him and don't let him open often. I find the team does a poor job of finding him on the occasions he is open too.

He did start the year rather slow even when he was open. But he has been heating up as of late.

hawkmi said he needs "zero to no space" to get his shot off. Which now that I'm reading his quote I think he took a page from Michael Jordan.

Jeff Beverly needed zero to no space to get his shot off and he was 43% from the floor

Did I do that right?

He only shoots 38% from the floor and is probably the worst defender in all of the Big Ten. Stop it

Bohannon is at least decent. this is just absurd. Guess what, Wigginton also is shooting 38% from the floor and has sucked on defense. He's at least decent.

No he isn't and he's light years better on defense

You're right, 38.6% from the floor (which is exactly what Bohannon is shooting). And he is better on defense, but he's still been a liability especially in certain games.

Bohannon is fine. He's not great, and he's certainly not somebody I want ever playing 30+ MPG for ISU, but he's fine. He'd get a lot of minutes on a lot of Big 12 teams.

Wigginton vs ranked teams:

KU: 2-11
KSU: 2-8
TT: 3-12
@KU: 1-8
@Miss: 7-10

Including a 7-10 game the guy is 15-48 against ranked teams. I just don't know why this is a hill you want to die on.

Those are some stats of an elite shooter!

So would you say we've only had 4 elite shooters at ISU in the history of the program?

Without even knowing the stats, Dedric Willoughby was probably the best shooter I've ever seen at ISU. I loved watching him play. My all time favorite Cyclone.

Stanley's completion % is 57.7 in his career, which would put him at #8 all time in ISU history. Your turn.

Off the top of my head 3 pt shooters better than him for sure would be Sullivan, Hoiberg, Dedric, Matt Thomas, Naz, Tyrus and Thug Life. All of those guys were better than Bohannon overall too. Without looking I'm guessing JVB has a better career 3 pt % because I remember that ended up but I wouldn't say he's better and D Jax is probably right there with him so he could go on the list too
