Kansas State vs Iowa State Predictions

Offense can sputter at times, defense never should. Our defense against TCU was atrocious.

Did you read the Travis Hines thread on Twitter with the short video clip of our pickNroll defense vs. TCU and the discussion afterward? It was interesting to say the least. Even basketball coaches were debating if it was a confusion situation as to whether we were 'icing' the screen, or players weren't on the same page, or 1 of 2 weren't doing their job, etc. Actually glad I'm not knowledgeable enough on the subject to know which was which. Hopefully the staff and players will get it figured out. I'm sure they'll be determined to do so.

After Webber gets his fifth warning to stay off the court, he finally gets T'd up with a minute to go. We win 70-69 after Shayok hits the technical foul shots.

Ask me after tonight. In effect, K-State just lost their 5th starter - minute wise - with Diarra going down to a broken bone in his hand. I'll be anxious to see how McGuirl fills his 6th man slot tonight in Austin. Win and ISU will have their hands full trying to escape Manhappy. Lose and Cy will be even odds to get a payback win in MHK.

Wow, ISU fans can sound like Iowa fans... what a bunch of weak asses! ISU 78 KSU 71....

Actually it's Iowa fans that get mocked for big results regardless of actualities. Thinking KSU might get ISU again isn't unrealistic especially if ISU doesn't get to where they can find some real rhythm.

Would be great if ISU comes out swinging and pulls it off.

We have the most talented roster in the league and I'm not sure anyone would even debate that

I agree we have the most talented roster from 1-9. Kansas has the best player in the league in D. Lawson and the best coach in the league along with a **** ton of young talent. Kansas State has the most mature roster when it comes to big game experience and upperclassmen laden squad. I'm amazed at how well Baylor has played this year and that they are still in the hunt.

Having the most talented roster doesn't necessarily translate into winning a championship. You need a top 3 or 4 head coach, you need the roster to be cohesive and gel and finally you need a couple of good bounces.

I agreed, but you can defend well and have the other team hit tough shot after tough shot. It happens. That's not what TCU was doing though (but I will say that I don't think they make open shots at the rate they did against us in many games).

ISU will have yet another 4-5 minute scoreless stretch at some point and K-State will pull away during that time.

K-State 73
ISU 62

I predict my eyes start to bleed from watching NWB dribble around the perimeter, pass it to THT with 3 seconds on the shot clock and brick a flailing away 3.

K-States defense will be too tough for our spotty offense, another 4 or 5 minute drought seals it.

KState 69-64.
