I guess Iowa's collapse will start in March this year...

Iowa is an easy offensive short term prep and an easier defensive short term prep. This isn't complicated

How is the 8th ranked AdjO easy to prepare for? They're obviously doing just fine scoring the ball with zero so called "mismatch guys".

Defensively, you are correct.

How do they average 82 points a game then?

They play fast and lead the country in FTA. Making a ton of free throws with the clock stopped when you play fast = highly efficient offense. Hell ISU is 14th in the country in AdjO and I don't think we're as hard to short prep for as we have been in the past but still harder than Iowa since we play 4 guards and start 5 capable shooters.

THT is a mismatch but he's streaky. The hardest thing to prep for with us if probably the fact we really have 7 starters where when a team like Iowa goes to the bench there is a huge drop off

One thing that is really going to hurt Iowa come tourney time is they are really easy to short prep for. They really don't have a mismatch and the blueprint on how to defend them is easy plus everyone will have a zone offense put together well in a month

Disagree. Zone teams have a pretty dang good history in the tourney, Syracuse probably being the best at having a totally mediocre regular season then the zone confusing teams in the tourney.

I don't think they go that far, because I don't think they are a good enough road team and I still think the guard court is a problem for them. But it won't be because of the zone, and it won't be because of a mismatch issue, they don't have it now and are still great on offense.

Who besides Syracuse who's an elite program?

Don't really understand that. But whatever, really doesn't matter a whole lot in the grand scheme of things.
Because nobody is impressed when 12-10 Northwestern has to puke all over themselves in the last 4 minutes and Iowa has to shoot over 50% from 3 including a last second prayer to beat them on their own floor. Many people didn't think it was possible for the Wildcats to score 79 points let alone do it on the road.

You lost me trying to compare Iowa's zone defense to Syracuse...

Every starter and yes I know THT is capable but very streaky (hit multiple 3's at 50% or higher in 7 games this season but still only 29% from 3). With Wigginton off the bench we have 6

So Iowa has 7 capable shooters. Good to know.
