I guess Iowa's collapse will start in March this year...

In this case at least it's an actual comparison. I will agree with other people that THT has a higher upside, and he's definitely better a certain areas of the game than Weiskamp, Weiskamp is a really good player as well. I think he'll be an all-timer for the Hawks.

Sagarin has the Big 12 as better.

My point isn't to make an argument about that. Both conferences are very tough and any difference in the two is basically microscopic. There are basically three conferences that matter this year - The Big 10, the Big 12, and the ACC. After that it's just a smattering from other leagues.

SEC has improved a ton over the last few years. I would put them just a tier below those three.

The Big Ten’s best teams >> Big XII’s best teams

The Big Ten’s worst teams >> Big XII’s worst teams

Therefore, the Big Ten is a better conference top to bottom than the Big XII.

What about the middle? Seriously I like talking with Iowa fans but this is just stupid.

Rutgers has actually been playing decent ball. PSU says hello.

SO you are saying Rutgers 123 net and 100 plus RPI are upticks. Real solid bottom there. PSU is a gem, but they have come catching up to do to suck as bad as rutgers. They are working on it though I will give you credit there, and they are garbage.

My question is...how did the PAC12 get so bad? Have some historically great teams...

All I know is AZ is talented but lost their whole team from last year.

Some of the most speed in the guards that I think ISU has faced.

But what happened at UCLA, ASU, Oregon, etc. on the whole is weird.

Welcome back.

I lurk, but the stuff gets a bit deep when CyTwins and the Hawk trolls go back and forth for page after page about the same thing. I like actual intelligent basketball conversation and opinions from other fans because I, for one, enjoy watching ISU play and pull for them when they aren't playing Iowa.

Rare, I guess, or just rare since this is a rival subforum and everyone loves to be douchey.

I actually think there was a pretty intelligent conversation on here the other day where we were discussing THT being better than Wieskamp

I'm looking forward to the Cook/Morgan match up tomorrow night if he's (Morgan) healthy.

There is very little intelligent that comes from your posting when you are badgering Iowa fans, and continually pointing out that THT is just 18 vs Joe being 19, and whatever point you are trying to make with that statement.

But, on that, I'd love to have THT in the black and gold. We need someone that can dribble drive, score, and be explosive on the offensive side. Joe and him both have a great skill set and they are both going to continue to excel. Joe had a few games where he disappeared from the stat sheet though, which was a bit disappointing.

If Fran would tell Cook to stay within 10' of the basket, Iowa would be a much better team. Why he thinks he should pull down a defensive rebound and take the ball up court is befuddling to me. The guy can't handle the ball, period. He doesn't need to be taking 15-18' jumpers. His back needs to be to the basket, rolling off screens, or cutting.

The fact that THT is better than a player we're comparing him to and he's a year and half younger is a pretty important fact to point out IMO

Yeah, not going to go down this twist and turn with you and redo what you and one of the Iowa fans did for 8 pages a few pages back.

ISU picked up a nice win @ OU, Shayok played great to end that game. Was pretty fun watchin KU go down to KSU last night (and MSU going down to Illini!).

Saw the Iowa/Indiana line opened from the hoks being a 1 pt favorite to the Hoosiers favored by 2-2.5 already.

Anyone have a reason why? Or just Vegas realized EIU's road issues?
