Seneca Wallace's Wingstop

The most import thing is that people are saving up and paying cash for these wings and not financing them or leasing them.

(advanced apologies to those that don't follow the car buying threads)

Have you seen the dry rub sauces BWW has? I'm not going into debt for that.

Looks like you can get 10 boneless wings, fries, and a drink for $11.50. Way better deal than bww.

Was there earlier this evening. Son is buffalo wing freak and wanted to try it. I ordered online and no issues. Got the 15 bone-in wings for $15. He liked the sauce better than Bdubs.

Maybe im just really cheap, but spending $20-30 for some wings and a beer is ridiculously expensive. Not a huge fan of BWW, but not a huge fan of wings in general. I remember when wings were the cheap part of the chicken.

For ordering online do you have to wait inline still or they just have them ready when you walk in?

Seneca was on KXNO this morning. He said they make everything fresh to order. Count on "15-18 minute wait after you order".

Bottomline: order ahead unless you are OK waiting.

Dang that's a sizable wait, but like at Chipotle when I order online I just walk to the register and grab my food and skip the line, wondered if Wingstop did the same kind of thing.

There's a WS in Dubuque that I give a little business to from time to time. Wings are right on par with BWW. sauces/rub selections they might even have a slight edge. Not a huge fan of their fries though. They've got a unique seasoning (not in a good way, IMO) and after the 3rd or 4th time going I stopped ordering them, as they'd generally serve them up a bit soggy/flimsy to my liking. Wings are fantastic, though, and the price and product beats BWW.

They have a register and sign specifically to pay for call-in orders.

I went today at lunchtime, massively peak time. I knew that going in--it was quick to order but 35 minutes to get my food. They were superbusy.

Oh and they do have bottles of beer. Lady I was waiting nearby decided she could fit one in while waiting. LOL

Really, a nice meal? Sure, something more upscale than fast food, but you're solidly in Applebee's/Chili's/TGIFriday's territory. You can find better quality stuff at local restaurants for that price but you never know exactly what you're getting. If you're away from home or have picky eaters having a familiar option can be worthwhile.

Well, you do when you've been there before.

They were ready when I walked in. People gave me this look like "What the hell do you think you are doing?" In and out in a couple of minutes. Pretty easy to order online but they will get you with the extras. Extra sauce, well done wings, celery, etc. $1 on the extras. Website is pretty basic, green and gold colors. This was at 6:30 so you could about imagine how busy they were. I had the only order on the pick up side, so I imagine most people just wanted to go to see what the place was like. It was standing room only when I was there.

Wanted to pick up some wings for lunch but "ONLINE ORDERING IS UNAVAILABLE AT THIS TIME." Must be short staffed or really busy.

Digging this one up as I made my first visit there on Saturday before the game. Overall was disappointed after all the hype this place gets. Got there right before noon and the only cashier was taking an order on the phone so we waited a few minutes before she could take our order. My friend that ordered right after me got his food 30 minutes after we ordered while mine didn't come out for another 10 minutes after his. Was told his takes less time to make because they were boneless and mine were bone in. The food itself was OK. The fries were really good, I got garlic parmesan and spicy Korean bbq wings and flavor and wings were good but they aren't exactly the most meaty wings I have had.

Seneca stopped in briefly while we were there and talked to the staff and cleared a few tables then headed to the BB game. Thought maybe we'd get a chance to take a pic with him but he wasn't there for about 10 minutes probably. Overall I had no gripes with the food, the wings weren't the best I've ever had by any means but they are tasty for the price. Was mostly disappointed with the slow service and it wasn't busy by any means. You can get in and out of BWW quicker than that and they serve way more people at one time than Wing Stop does. I'll probably give it another try some time but not before a game as we missed the first 4 minutes of the game by the time we got to our seats since our lunch stop there took way longer than anticipated. Hoping we just caught them on a bad day or something and the service isn't really that slow but judging by some of the online reviews I have read that 30+ minute waits for food seems to be common at a lot of Wing Stop locations so I hope that is not the norm to expect.

That is too long of a wait, but do wonder why you wouldn't order ahead if you know you are going there?

2nd, you can tell they push the boneless wings. Their specials are always boneless, they seem to come out faster (as you experienced) and even when they were interviewing Seneca one ime he seemed to hint that boneless wings were what they specialized in.

I prefer bone-in, but do generally do boneless if ordering at Wing Stop for the reasons mentioned.

Never been to Seneca's location, but out here in NorCal it usually takes a while to get an order at WingStop. Often times I will phone in and still wait a few minutes for the order after the 15 minute ride over there. Same thing happened last time I went to BWW. I'm guessing there just isn't a pile of wings laying under a heat lamp at either place.

Definitely like WingStop's prices better than BWW.
