I guess Iowa's collapse will start in March this year...

Is it just me or is it odd that the hawk fans here crave our approval as much as they do?

To be honest, we have fans that do the same thing on the squawk boards after we get a big win. Its a rivalry, and that is what fans do.

Iowa played well last night and got a much deserved win, that is the way they played against ISU, my questions is where is that effort every night? They also really have a backcourt problem that will sink them in the end.

I knew Michigan was in trouble when Baer hit that long three then did his weird serial killer stare while his teammates celebrated around him.

Couple take away from last nights game.

1) CHA can be a good arena when it is full and the team doesn’t lay an egg. It has proven that.

2) Garza can dunk. Never knew that before last night.

3) Joe Wieskamp is a good all around player. Going to be fun watching him the next few years. He is the kind of Iowa player that usually leaves the state.

4) fitting ending to the game when the last shot for Michigan was a brick and got lodged between the rim and backboard.

5) loved the court storm. Players loved it too.

6) now please play build off this win and play good at Indiana.

And then he completely air balled a three later on in the game. Iowa's players can look so smooth one minute and then the next will look like grade school team.

I feel like thats just kind of the nature of college basketball with 18-21 year olds. Sometimes Iowa looks like they could hang with almost anyone, other times they struggle with teams like Bryant. Its very frustrating, but you just have to hope the good stretches outweigh the bad and that we get hot at the end of the year.

College kids are inconsistent, but not really what I'm referring to with some of Iowa's players.

That’s nothing compared to the play where Kriener threw the ball like 30 feet over the backboard as he was stumbling towards the basket.

If I remember right he was spinning and I think expecting contact, but lost his balance and tossed it. That was bad.

Good win for Iowa much better odds of making the dance after that one. I have a feeling Michigan will fade but still be top 25 st the end of the year. Extend Fran now.

Yeah he was out of control a bit but TBH who can blame him, he was hot at the time. He played very hard last night.

The BIG is the only thing that matters. The rest of college basketball is completely irrelevant and can be ignored. The BIG only lets the rest of the colleges play games so they can show how much more superior they are than every other team in the NCAA. The only reason the Final Four is not four BIG teams every year is they have to let other teams THINK they have a chance, when in reality, the BIG has the 14 best teams in all of college basketball.
Didn't you guys know that?

Yeah, the only teams Michigan has beaten this year are Nova (overrated), Purdue (overrated), and UNC (wildly overrated). I congratulate the hawks for getting a solid Top 25 win though. Although...if they do it too much they might get that 8-9 game rather than a better draw as an 11 seed or something.

Iowa is a solid 5 or 6 seed right now. It would take a disappointing finish to end up an 8 or 9 seed, and a complete pants shitting to end up a double digit seed.

Iowa was ranked 3rd in the country at this point in the season three years ago, lost to a horrible team in the B1G tournament, and ended up a 7 seed in the NCAA. Anything's possible.
