Dr Tom had class but he as in seemingly all Hawkeye coaches did recruit some dorks. But he was a very respectable person and coach. Fran is easy to hate and now his kids make it that much easier.

That was 20 years ago. Alford, Lickliter and McCaffery is a pretty impressive run.

Looking at that, McCaffery's likability actually holds up pretty well.
