Iowa offering free tickets for the MSU game

How many showed up for the first game that was canceled? I was there. Haven't missed a home game in over 12 years. Seen some crappy football, but I'm loyal. So how many games did you actually go to this year?

How is the cancelled game relevant in any way to the attendance at the Drake game?

It’s really funny how obsessed you are about a game against a non scholarship team in December where there was a threat of freezing rain before the game. I’d get it if there was other games you could point to with bad attendances, but you can’t. Iowa basketball has been poorly attended for 15+ years now.

You guys have given Iowa fans **** for years about “only” having ~60,000 in Kinnick for the Purdue game in 2015 when it snowed 6” the morning of the game and wind chills were in the single digits. Now you want a pass for having high school level attendance for a game in which there was a threat of freezing rain? LOL!

Also, FYI- Iowa State’s attendance for football was pretty bad this year.

Not really.

Looks like 3 games where paid attendance was ~6,000 short of capacity, couldn’t come close to selling out a single game (including two top ten match-ups), and of course the infamous Drake debacle. Not sure how anyone could attempt to spin that in a positive light.

I see only one top 5 team on the schedule. You said attendance was pretty bad. It wasn't.

My post says top ten match ups , not top five. Regardless, when 4 out of 7 home games are 6,000+ short of capacity, I would consider that pretty bad. Maybe as an Iowa fan I just have much higher standards when it comes to football fan support.

Yep, I misread that or you caught your error quickly. You're so full of ****.

ISU students would be sleeping out in tents right now in the snow outside of Hilton if we were playing the #6 team in the country on Thursday.

Iowa students won't go if you give them a free ticket and a meal. Crazy stuff folks.

And to think if enough people show up for the free tickets in Carver on Thursday and they actually fill it, they will take pictures and show it to the world showing how great the Carver atmosphere is.
Oooohhh don’t forget the wave. They could maybe wave to the unpaid contractors that built the shrine to Iowa football. It is Only Tuesday and thus far we have @benmiji making racist comments, Iowa ad with Campbell’s nuts in his mouth, AND lackluster support for a ‘TOP 25’ game.
