FIFY. There are MANY good white basketball players - Iowa has a plethora of below-average white basketball players. But, remember, Fran's major recruiting base is the state of Iowa &, specifically HokFan legacy players - many of those are white and not very athletic!
For the love of God, does anyone know how we can get a hold of this guy?!?!??!

Look their are good white guy players. No team in the last 40 years has built a whole team based on white guys. You have three at the most and maybe a few GPA Walton’s at the end of the bench. That’s it.

Race doesn't equate to how well a basketball team operates.
It's about having many players that can do many things. Iowa has many players that can do one thing.
Really? Yes it does. Look at every good basketball team ever.
Solid overall talent but 0 point guards and a psycho coach create quite a ceiling.
I've watched them a couple of times and that 'Tyler Cook/mid-majors' thread has some real truth to it.
I don't exactly think ISU has the definition of a true point guard, but NWB can play it and he along with other players can do many things.

It has been about a month since the loss in IC. Could 2 programs be in such different places a the moment. Raked Iowa losses big to an unranked team and should be ranked ISU stomps a top 5 ranked team. ISU having a nice run really adds to me misery of Iowa fans.
Best part is they somehow think he'd be cheap. If he had taken another college job he'd have been a top 5-10 paid coach in all of college hoops.
Fred could probably get the UCLA job for 2x what Iowa would pay a new coach.
Also gold is the serious comment about "we'd take him as an assistant to recruit".
