I guess Iowa's collapse will start in March this year...

I guess i could see that but I'm not sure....I know that's the "mad Fran" perception but by all accounts he's pretty laid back in practice....his players like him. Not a whole lot of turnover/transfers. When there are transfers it's usually PT related....

I think it's simply X's and O's...holding players accountable. Holding players to a standard and creating an identity for the team. I have no idea what he's trying to accomplish on the defensive end....what identity he's trying to instill.

One thing I'll say about Prohm....it seems it's "his way or the highway".....he holds his players accountable. A very talented player like Lard runs afoul....well, he has to work his way back into Prohm's good graces. That's a good thing.....seen it with other players.

Just think there are a lot of misconceptions with Fran....his issues aren't that he's being too hard on the players.

Probably said too much here :)

"I don't know how it would have affected this matchup, it's just that we're better with him. We need him. He's close to 75 percent. He practiced last night and he was not ready. We only warmed him up so he could get a little bit of movement but had no intention of playing him. I'm not going to put him out there if he's not ready to go. Hopefully, he'll be ready for Sunday. If not, we'll just go game by game. He's really diligent with his rehab and he'll be ready soon."

After game last night. This is unbelievable.
Why is it it unbelievable? They weren't playing ISU so to think they wouldn't risk further injury is understandable.

Another piss poor effort on the road in conference play. .500 in conference probably gets them in the tournament, but not sure they get there. Have dug themselves a deep hole plus the Big 10 is very deep this year.

Welcome to big boy basketball...

I couldn't care less about Wiggi and Young being out. Take one look at our roster that we had available for that game. You can't tell me with a straight face that that roster isn't far more talented than what Iowa trots out there every night. Bad loss. Always was. Always will be.

Had no one to bump with Cook.

I said this before we played them. Everyone was all "Iowa sucks, we win by double digits."
Then we got spanked and the tune changed from "Iowa sucks" to "Ok well, they're a solid team"
No! Just, NO! They are horrible and we got embarrassed in IC. Bad loss.

Ummm most of us have been predicting an Iowa conference play collapse. I don't recall a lot of praise for Iowa after they spanked us in Carver.

The Connor, Bohannon, Moss, Wieskamp, Till lineup had me rolling.

Think Purdue went on an 8-0 run on those guys with Carsen Edwards on the bench.

The Cedar Rapids market has the Todd Brommelkamp show with Alex Kuhn. They'll say exactly what it was. A pathetic loss that questions everything Fran said earlier in the year about being better defensively. You can't defend this game.
This is true. They have gotten a lot better since Brommelkamp took over. Before him, they were pretty bad, since he took over and added Kuhn they are much more tolerable and take a sensible approach. They hit the nail on the head Thursday when talking about the Iowa State Okie State game. Kuhn came out and said, Iowa State did not shoot well at all but they got on the plane and went home to Ames with a W and when you go play on the road in any conference, you do what you need to do to give yourself a chance to come home with a W.

Tonight is going to be gold.

I usually agree on Nebraska...keep in mind it’s tough winning on the road and Maryland has talent...Nebraska is more than capable of winning in carver..I do think it’s a game where Iowa shoots like 30 Ft’s..

Team Rankings still has them projected at 8-12 in Big Ten play. 18% to make the dance. I'm guessing most Iowa fans would sign up for that finish right now.

If they don't turn it around quick things will get real bad... already looking at being near double digit underdogs in 3 of the last 4 games of the year (@OhioSt, @Wisconsin, @Nebraska).
