Iowa Football Recruiting

Montgomery is a solid back but Sargent had a higher YPC against tougher defenses. As good as ISU fans think Montgomery is, his stats are pretty underwhelming.

Real late, but Sargent had only two games where he rushed for over 100 yards, six games where he rushed for less than 50 yards and and four games where he had between 50-91 yards. His 100 yard games were against the stout defenses of Nebraska and Illinois

Montgomery missed a game and had 6 games where he rushed for over 100, two games where he rushed for less than 50 and the other three he had between 33-53 yards

Most of Montgomery’s damage was done against garbage defenses too, FWIW. Only faced three Top 70 defenses (rated by S&P+) the entire season and went 48 carries for 178 yards (3.7 yards per carry) and 2 TDs in those games.

But you NFL lovers know he's thought very highly of.

You have 45k posts, of which probably 42k are on the in-state forum discussing Iowa. If you do have a wife and kid(s) as you say you clearly rank them second/third behind all things Iowa Hawkeyes.

Wouldn't you need to have been active in the in state rivals forum for quite a while to know if that is where he spent the majority of his time? Sounds like you've been around a lot longer than October...

Pretty sad when ferents tries 9 days in a row to flip a western Michigan recruit and then gets hung up on by said kid on signing day. I'd guess they may want to offer a few more kids.

Prettty sure Benji (buddy and the rest of his band of yellow belly loser user names) and Night at Kinnick are one in the same. Look at Kinnick's avatar on HR, you'll understand.

I wasn't happy at all when we pulled the offer. Gotta be honest. But things happen for a reason. Definitely rooting for Eno given what he had to go through. And who knew Mekhi would be the stud he is so early in his career.
@Gonzo why are you rocking an Isu avatar?

1- Eno would not have played, and Higdon would have helped but as you said earlier you think it makes us 9-3, so the Purdue of NW game are probably a win. Each game was decided by 2 and 3 points respectively. If Iowa had a kicker that was better than Racinos we win those 2 games.

If Stanley was consistent we win 3 of those games.
If you had Patrick mahomes and Kareem hunt...

He went from an administrative assistant to being a full time member on the coaching staff in a Director role after he got married. Wonder why
How did I not know this gem. Holy crap. So Kirk employs his son and son-in-law? This is hilarious.

You realize the announcer messed that story up and it was really about CMC and Iowa State, right? Iowa never offered that kid and already had a QB commitment. Meanwhile, Iowa State actually did offer him, and was looking to add another QB right up until the second signing day...
