Speaking of mid major players. What happened to Bohannon? I thought he was hurt last year and that's why Iowa sucked but he's 100% this year? His numbers are awful:

Freshman: 10.9 ppg, 5.1 assists, 41% 3 pt
Sophomore: 13.5 ppg, 5.4 assists, 43% 3 pt
Junior: 9.3 ppg, 2.5 assists, 32% 3 pt

He got fat.

The important thing to remember is that by beating ISU at home, Fran keeps himself off the hot seat and in that job another year with .500 ball in the new year, just like always. That's all Barta needs him to do, which is cool because it's pretty much all he's capable of doing.

Problem is the fighting Frans won't go .500 in the Big Ten.

Nor did Pemsl with his knee, or Weiskamp with his ankle. Sounds like a win at all cost job for that red faced looney tune coach of yours. Had Prohm thought like that maybe the outcome would have been different. Who knows.....an 80% Wigginton and Young may have been enough to stop your cripples and put a W in the win column for ISU, I don't know. But is this game in December worth the risk of re-injury? Red face looney tune said yes...Prohm said no, Iowa won and Pemsl had the surgery after like he was scheduled to do BEFORE he played in the ISU game.

Holy ****, Iowa goes to the line 37 times to Western Carolina's 18. 16 point differential in free throws is pretty much the difference in the game.

Actually the 26 turnovers the Catamounts committed (compared to the hoks' 10) was probably what really made the difference.

He is not shooting well this year. A player like that that isn't shooting well, can't help your team. I still have faith he will turn it around because he is just too good of a shooter. He's even been missing a lot of free throws.
