Iowa Football Recruiting

He was never even HM all conference and never did anything after Iowa IIRC

He was second team all conferernce. He rushed for 1,384 yards that season without playing in the bowl game. He was also the Insight Bowl MVP as a true freshman.

Recent article on rivals indicated that Harbaugh paid him a visit to see how interested he was after Michigan had a decommitment at the RB position, to which he listened and said he was committed to Iowa. Take what you will from that but to me that sounds like he would have gotten an offer if he was interested.

I agree this is almost certainly what happened.

Anyone with critical thinking skills should be able to come to that being the likely conclusion. Of course those skills are often rare on this forum.

He had zero speed. He got caught from behind multiple times.

I guess David Montgomery isn't any good cause he doesn't have top end speed. A lot more to the RB position than just speed. Vision, patience, balance, power and ball security are also important.

Umm if you think Coker has Montgomery speed....I have some ocean front property for you.

He didn't say that. He said Montgomery doesn't have top end speed. Which he doesn't.

So what does Montgomery have to do with Coker then? He’s faster, quicker, stronger, etc....

Coker wasn’t good. He couldn’t move laterally, he wasn’t fast...he had a good line and played ****** teams. Put a good back behind that line and they would have been way better.

I have no idea. I didn't bring it up. But the point was that you don't need great speed to be a good RB and Montgomery is proof.
