Iowa Football Recruiting

Iowa also wanted Breece. I think he will be a good one too. I think Brock will also be pretty good so do not get me wrong. I just dont think it is going to crush Iowa like some think it will that they moved on from Brock after the commit of Goodson early on.

Iowa missing out on good RB's has crushed them in the past. Melvin Gordon, Eno, Higdon, etc

That's cute.

Oh come on, I am listing Iowa's strength from the Ferentz era and where they put guys into the NFL is all. All of that after a dig on Iowa WRs. ISU has the better WRs, we all know that. But at the same time, I think Iowa has had more NFL WRs than ISU has in the Ferentz era, at least that have made rosters. We have had guys make it to the NFL like Lazard has done.

No, Iowa offers who they want and have a shot at, Wolf wants to play with his HS friend on the basketball team and wants to play both sports. Not hard to follow that logic.

Iowa offers hoping to land about 15% of the kids they offer

ISU offers hoping to land about 7% of the kids they offer

As of right now, Iowa has put together a solid class in 247 with a 35 rank. Not great, but I will take it. ISU is not far behind at 42 rank.

I'm liking this class a lot. Three stud O-linemen, our next dynamic duo TEs, the top RB on our board, held off Georgia for QB Padilla, held off Buckeyes for Jacobs, couple of really good safeties. Going to be a lot of fun watching Jestin and Jayden McDonald from last year's class flying around the field at LB.

It makes perfect sense. For recruiting it is all about the sell. Selling that ISU was better than Iowa for a year at the LB position when 2 of the 3 starters from Iowa in 2017 made NFL rosters is kinda grasping at straws here.

ISU just had a freshman All American LB. This is dumb

This is why we make fun of you guys and your NFL obsession

This may come as a surprise to you, but I care much more about how ISU players produce on the field while at ISU than they do in the NFL.

Don't get me wrong, I hope ISU players can make a good living in the NFL, but I am not an NFL fan (aside from fantasy football of course).

I like your OL, TE's and LB's. Think you guys did really well there actually

I can agree on Gordon. Eno was a better RB prospect than Brock was and had a good year on a .500 team. Higdon would have been behind Wadley or with him, which IMO is a wash. Wadley was good at Iowa.

Do you think Iowa wins 12 games with Eno this year or at least 10?

Iowa wins 2 more games with Eno this year, 1 more with Higdon IMO

I am talking about recruiting, of course I care about the games on Saturdays. Recruits also like to try to play on Sundays

Why does ISU recruit WR better than Iowa if Iowa puts more WR in the NFl and that's what recruits care about?

Don't forget holding off Michigan for Goodson.

Do I think an All American RB greatly improves a team that's stuck with 3 RB who have at least one major hole in their game? Yes, yes I do

I honestly believe Eno would have flipped from Iowa at some point even if the scholarship wasn't pulled. Guess we will never know, but that was the vibe I was getting from him.

Is this serious? Iowa fans on here we're talking about how committed he was and he was the greatest recruiting asset up until his scholarship got pulled. I actually remember getting ridiculed by @Gonzo and others for saying he wasn't going to stay with Iowa
