MLB: Yanks eliminated...

from a few years ago... but you get the drift.

To not even acknowledge Clemens or Torre is a very bush league move for an organization that claims to be so classy...

I agree, however I do believe Joe was invited back. I may be wrong on that but I thought he couldn't come because he was managing that day. I believe he was shown in the tribute video.

Clemens was not.

Clemens was not.

From what I heard, from someone who was there, he was not shown in any video and his name was never mentioned. An invite means nothing because the Yankees knew full well he wouldn't be able to attend...

What would one of the Yankees 26 World Series Championships be worth to you Cubs fans?

Not a damn thing. When you can outspend every club in the majors for 90 years, I expect more than a few championships. Take away all the money from the Yankees and you would be left with the Tigers or White Sox.

(Note, I'm not taking anything away from those 2 clubs, every once in a while, they develop great teams and win the Series, just not with the regularity of the Yankees.)

Hank Steinbrenner thinks the Dodgers are not as qualified as the Yanks third/fourth place team from number of winms standpoint.

You list yourself as a Red Sox fan and you are going to come with talk like that. You have to be kidding me.

First you probably shouldn't be speaking for Cubs fans. Second, the team you cheer for went and spent like crazy to break quit a long skid to get a World Series Championship.

If you were a Devil Rays fan or cheered for the Twins maybe you could talk about spending but not a Red Sox fan.

And by the way what is wrong with spending the money? It's a business for the owners. The rules allow them to spend as little or as much as they want on their clubs. It's not cheating to have the highest payroll in baseball. Granted it doesn't always work out but at least the Yankees ownership is committed to helping their franchise in anyway possible.

If you think the Dodgers are a better team then the Yankees I would have to say you are wrong. Look at the teams in their division and look at the American League East. Competition is quite a bitter harder and you play those teams quite a few times more then anyone else on the schedule.
