Actually ISU has already sold out their allotment and Jamie said he was working with them to get more.
Yeah, I know. I took that as they already have more allocated by them past the 12,000 (which he does say).
The Alamo bowl will keep sending tix to ISU, they aren't going to sell all 65,000 tickets.
I'd guess attendance at 55k overall. I'd guess half ISU, maybe a quarter each WSU and randoms.
No knock on WSU, but it seems further afield for them, and they were generally disappointed how the season ended. And maybe they have a smaller fanbase, idk.

Smallest in fact. Even the University of Cincinnati has a larger football stadium. If we're talking about football, KU has a lot of things to be jealous of. At least they've won an Orange Bowl.
"Our allotment" is a negotiated minimum between the Alamo Bowl and Iowa State. I think our Ticket Office could provide tickets for 30,000 people before the Alamo Bowl would stop them!
Not sure if that's true, because a lot of the seats are accounted for on Ticketmaster/other 3rd party sellers. I'm sure it's a hefty amount they can get, though.

Turns out that paying your kids tuition doesn't make you "donor". I bought direct from Ticket master to ensure that I actually got a ticket. Didn't want to put my fate in the hands of someone else.

That’s awesome! I can’t wait to get down there. I’m young in the general sense of Iowa state football, but this is by far the biggest bowl we’ve been to and I’m disappointed my mom and dad couldn’t come to the game since we all work at the family business and someone had to be there to run it, but they sacrificed and stayed so I can go, and I’m glad you guys get to share the trip. It could be the most amazing trip I’ve ever been on, next to the Big 12 tournament in basketball
My family will be there too. Cheaper and way better seats to be had on the WSU side.
It is unlikely that the Washington State side will be full, so you could probably do some moving around and trading seats to "create" a Cyclone section. Or it may just happen naturally as some of the section on their side will have a large Cyclone presence.
