Coming off two tough losses is a bad time for a bye, wish we had a game Saturday to get rid of the bad aftertaste of losing. Hopefully the team won't dwell on the last two games.

this is a great time for a bye week if your team is making all kinds of mental mistakes that are hopefully correctable.

Agree with the last post, good time to get back to neutral and sure up some mental mistakes... we should be mentally and physically ready for KU. Also, that feeling after a loss, this will be a good time to make our players hate that feeling if they didn't already... Get em jacked to beat a ranked opponent at Jack Trice.

There has never been a better time for a bye week for ISU. We have had to very lack-luster performances and have a lot of things to correct. We are beating ourselves and the only way to rectify that is practice and film watching.

Obviously it's best for the fans to have a game right away, but the opposite is true for the team and their development.

I think timing is good. We have a lot to work on, and getting injured players healed up is good. I've always felt when you are on a roll a bye week is a bad thing. So, that does not apply to this team. Coming off 2 losses, having extra time to let that fester may be a spark for this team.

I am not too sure about that.... we've never had a bye week in the GC era. A regrouping.... teaching.... getting better isn't a bad thing for a young team.

-keep.

Agreed. Two very winnable games that we lost. And from what I've seen, both being lost very much by our own doing.

The boys could use a little extra practice and get a handful of things straightened out. It'll probably be very beneficial to have an extra week where we can work on things not directly related to Kansas.

Actually not really a bad thing, We can further break down what went wrong in those last two games in week one and correct them/tweak things, and in week two, start preparing for kansas.

Plus let our bumps and bruises heal for those who need

If we were 4-0, fans would think it's a bad time for a bye too. There are pros/cons to a bye week every time a team has it.

IMO, I'm fine with it. Gives the team time to stew over the last two games they should have won. I hope they're sick over it, upset and looking at the mistakes made that cost them those games - and working to correct them.

Not a bad time for review, disgust, corrections and improvements.
