Opening Line at Iowa

Win or lose, Iowa State is the better team and that will become more evident as our team gets full strength and the season wears on. Iowa's season will eventually wilt like lettuce in a microwave.

It already has, ISU by 15.

The experts on this board have me convinced we can't lose to a team that's: "too white" and can't play D :)

This is embarrassing for Iowa honestly. They are 2.5 point home dogs to us without our best player. A line doesn't win the game, but just the perception that our team is giving points in their own gym when they are supposed to be good... Woof.

Yup, not a good look for a team that has a top 20 ranking.

IDK why but I'm feeling a 2014 level *** kicking coming up. We are really clicking on all cylinders and they really are not. But who knows.
Really? I've lost track over the last week or so, but prior to that, it sounds like they were killing teams.

In their last 3 games they barely squeaked by a Pitt team who turned around and lot to Niagra, lost to Wisconsin at home and got absolutely trounced by Michigan State.

Also, the "big" win over Oregon doesn't look so great anymore. Oregon has recent losses to Texas Southern and Houston and has an RPI of 109.

It will be interesting to see how they respond to the first hostile environment of the year. Not a ton of experience in that regard.

Two 5th-year (Babb, Shayok) and one 4th-year (Jacobson) starters, as well as a 5th-year (Talley) reserve on the team is pretty good experience. Lard and Lewis also have experience playing on the road in the Big XII. I think we'll be fine.
