Graham Couch: Iowa Basketball is a mid-major roster

Iowa has 3 4 star recruits on their roster. Garza, Cook and Wieskamp. They are your 3 best players even though two of them can't defend and none of them were top 50. Garza wasn't even top 100

It does seem that bball has a higher number of 4 star players as compared proportionally to football. Anyone else feel the same way?

It just seems that if you land a four star in football it is a much bigger deal than it is in bball.

I think you see more 4 stars in basketball because Phil Parker looks for 2-3 star guys to turn into NFL players.

There's actually more 4 star players in football than basketball

Yes. Just because they have shot poorly for the first 8 games (and really it is just Bohannon that is shooting poorly) does not mean they are a bad three point shooting team.

People are figuring out how to guard Bohannon on the 3 point line, especially when they put in the entitled one and play Bohannon off the ball

Yes, I am sure that the first 8 games this year is a more representative sample of Bohannon’s shooting ability than the previous two seasons in which he shot 41+%.

You realize players regressing under Fran is common right? Also his assist numbers, besides his defense which actually looks worse than last year, is probably the most concerning thing
