Iowa wrestling meet

Wilson was taking it to Coleman as was evidenced by the multiple takedowns.

Would have loved to see him get to break Coleman as Colman’s has shown in the past he can’t keep up.

Based on 2 TDS in the first Coleman was clearly threatening...

And if he wasn’t I would love to hear the perspecrctive on how close the IOWA vs ISU meet was since ISU has zero support staff present for the dual.

What you’re missing is one of Wilson’s takedowns came from a deep Coleman shot where Wilson got lucky with some funk. Coleman reversed him at the end of the first and I know for a fact Coleman does not gas. Nice to see you Hawks are threatened by what Dresser is doing in Year 2 :) now run along back to your own forums Little Brother

Wilson came out like a ball of fire the first couple minutes and then Coleman settled in and got things going. Wilson wasn't breaking anybody and you know it.

I accidentally let an "Oh **** off" slip in front of my daughter when I heard the predictable "What's he doin down there!?!?!?!" when our guy was clearly working his way up. Loved how the officials didn't let their bs dictate how the dual went.

Excuses running rampant on Hawkeye boards—officiating, injuries, the flu etc. Apparenly those conditions are unique to Iowa City proper. The refs are all out to get Iowa state. Only Hawkeye wrestlers suffer injuries. The flu afflicted only Iowa City—but not Ames... I look forward to following this narrative... not just this year, but in the years to come.

Yeah funny how many excuses they're making right now but bet they expected to blow us out regardless. They just can't fathom that we might actually get better and they won't have that superior feeling that makes their lives worth living.

There is a video clip of Dresser's presser on the Des Moines Register site. Only a little over a minute long.

ISU was the better conditioned team and that's why we won those close matches we did. There are no excuses, they were at full strength and almost lost at home

The excuses are funny. Whole team had the flu. Whole team is injured.

All I know is that was pretty much their starters & they weighed in and wrestled. The excuses end there.

Way to go to the staff for having the team ready to wrestle in Carver. Their backups were suppose to be able to beat us

No, buf you are a little off with that. Hawks fans were yapping that their third lineup could beat us. A little overconfident for sure.

Most of my house was taking naps, they were woken up with me yelling when Gomez had him on his back. Gomez said ISU would shut up Carver, they probably did it, but imagine the dead silence if he could have squeezed Desanto's shoulder down another inch or two.
