Iowa Football Recruiting

Speaking of complete. Let’s talk about the complete dumpster fire in Iowa City.

Your premise is wrong. Dumpster fires have lots of energy and heat and action. I think you meant something more like this...

This DT that was sent to Iowa Western, Daviyon Nixon, did qualify out of high school. The problem was he wasn’t cleared until he had already enrolled and started practicing at Iowa Western. He is already back at Iowa after only one semester at Iowa Western. If he didn’t qualify out of HS, he would have had to graduated JUCO to move on.

And talk about special, Nixon could be.

Heard this Nixon kid isn't with the team right now from a Hawkeye friend

Had no idea who the kid was. Looked him up on twitter. He posted in late October not sure what the rule is about twitter but I thought it was no tweeting in season.

Iowa signed CB Josh Turner. Turner is a 3* out of Florida. Fast and physical, will probably move to safety before its all over.

Looks to me like a ball hawking safety who has no problem laying the wood as well. Flashes of Ed Reed for sure, don't want to get crazy but he might be a taller and better version of Bobby "the Hitman" Sanders. Probably should just shut my mouth and go with the Reed example though.

2* on Rivals. Chose Iowa over Boston College. Lowly ranked 3* on 247. From the tape he looks kind of soft and lacks top end speed

I was right again. Rinse and repeat

Will be interesting to see if Jacobs sticks with the Hawks. From what I have gathered, Jacobs isn’t a priority LB recruit for Ohio St. (kind of like Purdy’s situation with Alabama and Texas A&M).

Hearing his offer is not fully committable. Depends on if a couple higher choices sign or not.
