Iowa State: Alamo bowl would be a great destination IMO. Never been to one but always hear good things. The river walk is fantastic in San Antonio. Went to my daughters basic training graduation in San Antonio and we had a blast....

worst case: don't think their is one for ISU...the list of bowls CW provided all look good to me

Iowa: Looks like the Holiday bowl which would be great. Personally I'd like one of the Florida bowls since I live in Destin now.

worst case: red box.....can't see many folks getting jazzed up to go to Northern California...weather iffy and expensive.

Obviously we need to see how the pecking order shakes out after next weekend.....

Anyway....what's your preference?

Theres a redbox bowl now?

Alamo would be my #1...San Antonio is a great place to spend a few days in late December. But Orlando or Houston both would be great alternates...sure beats the heck out of New York City, Boise, or even Memphis (even with more bathrooms).

Pretty sure Wisconsin tanking against Minnesota and falling to 7-5 will spare us from the RedBox, but who knows.

The Alamo would be the best location and bowl, but I’d prefer the opportunity to play Auburn or A&M in the Texas Bowl. Worst case scenario is Orlando against a basketball school.

For Iowa, they already played their Super Bowl in September, so I’m guessing wherever they end up will be anticlimactic.

All depends on OU. I would think they are a more attractive team than OSU since their offense has been solid against everyone and can score in bunches. A CCG like 28-21 in favor of OU would make texas attractive for NY6. You don't get a bigger brand than them if OU ends up in the sugar bowl. Camping or Alamo would be good. Camping was at the KSU game.

Was out in SD during the holiday bowl a couple times. Nice location, but stadium is nasty. Once texas was there, against an AZ school I believe, and it was dead. A decent bowl but one that has dropped in prestige. The SD community doesn't really back football from what I can tell so the fans all come from outside.

I know ESPN will try to spin Ohio State in the CFP, especially after they roll whatever Big Ten West team gets trotted out there but there's no way you can justify taking Ohio State over Oklahoma. Oklahoma's resume is just that much better

Just hate how you can't plan a bowl trip till December with the way things shake out now.

Agreed. Our kids "X" amount of days that they don't have practice so we have to see if things fall within that. If they miss practice they sit games for each day and with a senior this year, don't really want him to miss any. No cheap airfare and if you don't book quickly, you are lucky to get plane tickets.

I see it as Bama, Clemson, ND and then OSU. OSU win over Michigan was impressive, and the win verse PSU helps. OU has not had that impressive win, WV is not a big win and beating Texas will not be as big as the Michigan beat down. And I hate OSU and like OU. But that is how it is going to shake out, and then Bama will destroy OSU
