Could Alabama Beat an NFL Team?

I recall an article from earlier this year that an oddsmaker put Bama at 28.5 point dogs to Buffalo when they were struggling.

I really don't think the games would every be very close. I think even a team of all rookies would struggle against the lower level NFL teams.

It is fun to joke about, but Alabama would get blown out. Yeah Alabama has some future NFL starters on their team, but Alabama would be going against the best of the best. Hard to match up when not all of their players would be in the NFL.

Yep. The line play would be a huge mismatch. Not to mention the defensive scheme of a pro team would be so much more difficult for a college qb to deal with

What most people who try to make these comparisons don't take into account is the speed of pro players. Most popular collegiate plays, when run in the NFL, get shut down simply because the defense has the speed to shut it down.

Alabama is stacked with pro players, however, as good as they are, even they don't have the best player at every position even at the colleigiate level, and most, if not all, of the players on this roster will never end up being the best players at the pro level.

You ever been to a D-league game? The talent and size there is on a completely different level than college basketball so to say a college team could even compete with an NBA team is completely laughable.

Gruden and the hapless Raiders would feast off of Saban. It would be a total mismatch. I always laugh when people try to make these comparisons.
