Murphy and Downs just agreed: if the hoks don’t get killed tonight it’s time to get excited about Iowa basketball again. Smh.
Did Hawk media stop stating, "They played Michigan close, so they're right there," as they did all spring and summer?

Lol none of those 3 were even close to going to Iowa. Tyler Ulis was closer to going to Iowa and they finished 3rd for him
Iowa did a great job identifying elite talent and building relationships with those targets early. Then the Hawkeyes were hoping to build a class around Patrick McCaffery and rely on his personality to attract other elite guys to Iowa City. It almost worked with four-star wing Malik Hall. It almost worked with Carton. It really almost worked with Trayce Jackson-Davis. But…
No it didn't "almost work" for any of those three lol.
Also, Patrick McCaffery is the 4th best Iowa commit since 2000? Woof
There was another funny quip in there where Bain talks about how they are going after another “Baer type” in an upcoming class like that is a good thing. SO FUNNY.
Checking into this game...looks like one of those that Iowa wins and their fanbase will be all over the Final Four train.
Well, when he was out at USA Basketball they measured him at 6-7 and 178 lbs. Now that he committed to Iowa, they list him at 6-9 and 195 lbs. That is impressive, he grew two inches and put on 18 pounds in 4-5 months.Ha, that picture says it all. Great looking D1 body right there. Yikes.
Nice win for the Hawks tonight. Should be a pretty nice win to have on the resume come March.

4th best recruit since 2000 and Bain already wonders if he will redshirt. So funny.
The last person I would question in basketball recruiting is Jerry Meyer and it's been reported by more than one unbiased person that Xavier's dad has a strong relationship with Prohm
I am just now noticing that Jerry Meyer put in a crystal ball for Foster to Iowa a few months ago...what’s up with that? Seems pretty encouraging for Iowa considering Meyer is such a reputable analyst, according to @CyTwins
