All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

I was there. Were you? When the blows off the practice kickingsticks in pregame, that’s some wind. When the a PAT is blow five yards sideways that’s some wind. I realize that they said up to 40 in the news, but I’d bet my socks it was more than that. Certainly not sustained, but more in gusts. At any rate, the players and the coaches said the wind had a huge effect on the passing game. Do you deny that?

I bet it was closer to 60 or 70 mph!

You can be playing in a hurricane if you can't complete over 50% of your passes on 5 yards or less throws that's really bad

You seem grumpy. Is it that corporate logo on MidAmerican Energy Field or the zero AP votes?

The officials had to start standing over the ball after it was spotted to prevent the wind from blowing it away. That was about as windy of a game as you are going to ever see- just a good thing it happened in mid-October and not mid/late November.
FYI, you've already talked about the wind today.

Lightning mostly. Cost us one win for sure in week 2

Haha, there it is.

Lol what is it with your obsession of defending Stanley? Your whole fan base tries to convince yourself he's good. It's weird

I am defending Stanley less than I am giving reason for his pedestrian numbers. They simply didn’t need to pass as they were jamming it down their throats and passing was risky. Again, both coaches made note of the difficulty in passing.

He seems extra chaffed down there. Bye week blues maybe. Who knows, Purdey might be a Davey O'Brien National QB of the Week some day.

How did he have 11 incompletions and an interception if he didn't have to pass?

Stanley had a bad game. It happens. Prior to that, he had busted off about 4 really good games in a row. Regardless of whether or not the wind was blowing 50+ mph, Stanley is still a really good QB and anyone who says otherwise is trolling.
