Another year and more talk of Iowa contending for the CFP. Second time in the last four years. Yawn.

But in Year #2 CMC had Iowa State as high as 15. I expect that gap to narrow as he has a roster full of his players. UT getting back would help a lot, and give ISU a chance at least 3 high profile wins

I think 2 loss team from the East would have to beat Wisconsin for Iowa to get in, assuming Iowa and Wisky win out.
Not if it’s Iowa and ND and Clemson are undefeated. Bama plus and any one loss SEC team, a one loss UT, and even a one loss OSU (to Michigan) would get in before Iowa. Hell, I wouldn’t put it past them to select a one loss OSU over Iowa even if Iowa sneaked past them in the championship game.
