I think a non NFL talent at QB can only take you so far. I’d bet most people that understand football realize that if you put replace a non NFL QB with one that will be playing on Sundays in the future, your team will be better.

Do you want CMC to recruit the most talented HS players, ones that have D1 talent? Sounds like you’d prefer he take guys that don’t have D1 talent, but put up good HS stats.

Fant and Hockenson become the first pair of teammates to be named Co-Mackey Player of the Week recipients. Remember when @CyTwins thought Chase Allen was better than both of them? Woof.
I think Hockenson is better than Fant actually. Too bad he didn't stay committed to Iowa State. Allen was actually playing great until he got hurt and Kolar graded out as the best TE in the Big 12 this last week
Maybe you're right. I think he was very publicly an ISU lean until Iowa offered now that I think about it
They have been pretty decent this year I feel. Brandon Smith is finally turning the corner, Easley is doing OK and ISM has been good when thrown too. Just hard to get them the ball when the mismatch is our TE's on LBs and safetys.
Defenses are gameplanning around Fant and he's still on pace to beat his crazy TD number from last season. Hock is very close though.
Great to see Campbell using the TEs more.
Hockenson is the better all around player. Fant couldn't block me
Lol that's when you know the bar is low. Smith doesn't even have a TD this season and we have 4 players averaging at least one more catch per game than ISM
I like what I'm seeing from the WRs and am happy with their development thus far. I feel Smith will have great Junior and Senior years.

Well when you have the best TE tandom in the nation, you would be a fool to not exploit that. What is so hard about that. The WRs, when thrown to have done a good job this year and I'm happy with their development thus far.
If the WR's were good they would get thrown to more often. It's not rocket science. Butler and Jones have more catches than Fant and Hockenson but we're still throwing the ball to Eaton and Milton because they're good
ISM and Brandon Smith have come along nicely. Anyone stating anything to the contrary either hasn’t been watching the games or is simply trolling. ISM is also the best kick returner in the country thus far.
