Leath was heavily involved in structuring the contract, which guarantees $38,849,406 to Malzahn, including this year's salary, should he be fired. Malzahn is the nation's fifth-highest paid coach this season with a $6.7 million salary.
ah yes, the famous words we used to throw around. Well I’d guess they could get a lot of coaches that would be willing to coach at a school like Auburn.I am glad that Auburn took another jerkwad off our hands for us.
I have no idea what Auburn thinks it is going to do. Gus Malzahn is a very good coach who was the brains behind the championship under Chizik and almost won another one on his own over Florida State not all that long ago. I know their expectations are astronomical, but if Alabama is going to win a championship 50% of years, there are not many more to go around.
Who the heck else are they going to get?
President Leath was one of the worst things to happen in the 21st century at Iowa State.

From my understanding, Leath was an egotistical doosh. The growth you speak of can be attributed to JP, not Leath. Can you illuminate for someone who hasn't been paying attention outside of the whole plane crash thing? From a distance, it seems like ISU grew substantially under Leath as did athletics. Honest questions as I don't know the stories behind why Leath has such a bad rep.

I was in Dallas getting on a plane to head to DSM, and he was there along with his wife. She was wearing this ridiculous fur/mink coat in the airport and talking a little too loud. From my understanding, Leath was an egotistical doosh. The growth you speak of can be attributed to JP, not Leath.

The TCU women's bball team were sitting in the same terminal for the same flight and were totally mocking her/not knowing who she was.

Much of the growth is due to demographic and other environmental changes than it was Leath or is JP.Can you illuminate for someone who hasn't been paying attention outside of the whole plane crash thing? One mans opinion but I really do think the list of places Matt would leave for is pretty short...and ZERO SEC programs are on that list.Apparently over on Hok World forum, someone posted that the Auburn University plane was parked in Des Moines. They are all praying that Coach Campbell will be their next coach.
