It's funny how many times it's been said to you, but you choose to ignore it. We know our football program is bad.
We've gone out and found a coach who is turning the program around at a rapid pace. Iowa basketball just extended the coach who has dug a giant hole, thrown the program in it, set it on fire, and peed on the ashes. It's a dead hopeless program now. If you can't see the difference you are dumber than I thought you were.
Nevermind the fact Iowa State fans said Fran McCaffery's program was similar to Paul Rhoads'. You all scoffed at that idea.
Sounds like a decision could be coming soon. Has made 5 official visits. Benji is optimistic on this one.

2. Really, really bad last year. Expect to be slightly less bad this year, but media and team members like to inflate expectations of fans

It's true but he got some highly rated recruits from the state who were lifelong Iowa fans. That was his chance to right the ship. And they had stretches of years where it looked like they were. But then it became apparent that Fran has no business coaching major college basketball and they started free falling. They will never make the NCAA tournament again under Fran unless another group of brainwashed Iowa fans want to try to save the program again.
Let me guess, you think Iowa basketball will be more successful than ISU football this year?
You are probably right, he and many other Iowa fans probably think this. But that's just crazy. I guess you can't fix stupid.
I think they will end up having similar winning percentages
So you think ISU will make a bowl game and Iowa will miss the tourney once again. Gotcha
I think Iowa State will make a bowl in the down Big XII. I expect Iowa to be squarely on the bubble this season.

What about position in conference and post-season play?
My prediction:
Win %: ISU FB 7-5 for 58.3%. Iowa BB equivalent is 18-13 so probably pretty close (I actually have them at 19-12).
ISU FB: 5th out of 10 so Iowa BB equivalent would be 7th out of 14. If ISU FB ends up 6th, that lets Iowa BB slip to 8th. I think Iowa BB is closer to 9th - 11th position but could end up 8th.
ISU FB: mid level bowl so Iowa BB equivalent would be NCAA low seed. If ISU FB gets a bad bowl the equivalent is NIT which is where I think Iowa BB ends up.
