Oh I completely agree. Arguably worse than the Big Ten West is now
I wouldn't say it is good, but it isn't as bad as the Big 12 North was in the mid 2000s.
It's very close.
I think Wisconsin is pretty mediocre this year.
Iowa- Below Average, boosted up by an easy schedule and winning their Superbowl against a team with a huge disadvantage
NW- Lost to Akron- garbage
Purdue- Lost to Directional Michigan school garbage
Minnesota- Got thumped by a below average Iowa team- garbage
Illinois- Hot flaming pile of garbage
Nebraska- Winless, hopeless, garbage
Honestly it might be worse than any of the Big 12 North years.
I'm not sure why you don't think it's as bad as the North was but OK. If anything it's easier to believe the West is worse
Honestly, you need to use cycle years for that time. Not using them can skew stats hard.
During that time period the north won a conference championship. The west never has. Seems the putrid north accomplished more than the west has.
I didn't say it was hot garbage, you did. Hot garbage is going 7-6 overall and still winning your division. That's not how bad the Big Ten West is.

Things aren't good is understating how bad it really is. Historically this year's Big 10 West is one of the worst divisions in Power 5 football ever. And Iowa may not win more than 7 games playing that schedule. But keep trying to convince yourself that the hoks are good or somehow relevant.
