who ya got. I’m taking Khabib in the 4th round by pounding out Connor. Mcgregor has a punchers chance though.

I also think Khabib wins but to say Connor has a punchers xhance is silly. It’s definately a matter of how well Connor can keep the fight standing

Which is a punchers chance. If he get's taken down he is going to get Mauled. He is a puncher. He wins fights by blasting people.

I can see kabob controlling little mac on the ground and winning.

It comes down to who can control the location of the fight. They're fairly polar opposites in fight style strengths.

Standing fight: Conor Wins
Ground fight: Khabib Wins

Give me Conor early. That left had of his is dangerous in the first round. Did he polish it even more with the Mayweather boxing training?

It will be the best fight the UFC has ever had until Jon Jones gets his head out of his booty and fights DC at Heavyweight.

If I was betting I'd bet on Conor since he's the dog but beyond that it's a tossup. Contrasting styles. If Khabib gets Conor down it will be a long round and could lead to Conor running out of gas. If Kahbib takes a left on the way in for a takedown it could be over in an instant. I wish my friends liked MMA so I could watch. Not paying PPV for myself but I like the whole card.

When I hear "puncher's chance" I always think of somebody who's overmatched but might get lucky with a big punch. Conor's punches aren't lucky. This is a style fight, not an overmatched guy with a big punch.

That's just my definition of puncher's chance.

Styles make fights. I think Khabib will struggle with Conor's movement and speed/precision. He has never seen anything like this and Khabib doesn't move all that well. I also think he will eventually get hold of Conor and bring him down. The problem is that he has to get close to Conor and I'm not sure he has a great chin. Johnson hurt him for a second in that fight and Conor doesn't just kind of hurt most people. When he catches the first one, it's usually just a downhill slide. I'd pick Conor because I will usually always pick the better striker, but this is a toss up.

Agreed which is why I said that comment is silly. Puncher's chance was Mayweather vs Connor. Connor was champ that vacated his belt, not a huge underdog.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Conor's movement/speed/precision and power will be difficult for Khabib to deal with, especially early. If Khabib can weather the storm in the early rounds and take him into later rounds, Khabib could grind out a decision but if I'm putting money on it I'd go Conor by KO early.

I think a lot will depend on Conor's endurance conditioning. If he can withstand some ground game, I think he'll win. Khabib can simply wear people out on the ground. I just hope this is a good fight that doesn't end early.

I don’t think Khabib’s chin has been tested like Conor will do, but on the flip side, Khabib is probably one of the best wrestlers in the game.

Hoping Conor wins.

Co-Main may be more exciting with Tony and Pettis

Also, Khabib hasn't looked amazing his last couple fights tbh. I still think he wins because Conor isn't great on the ground but if he keeps Khabib standing for a whole round, Khabib is in trouble.

I just look at the Chad Mendez fight for example. Mendez took the fight on short notice and still got Connor to the ground. I don't see Khabib having any trouble getting in on Connor and taking him down.

Mendez had his way until he ran out of gas. Khabib won't run out of gas. He just has to avoid the hammer.

The piece that is unclear to me is how does Khabib get CMc to the ground. The four inch reach difference is going to give Khabib challenges. I realize this sounds goofy but I think weigh-in will be huge. Khabib has missed cuts before and it will be interesting to see how this one goes.

Khabib hired a nutritionist and changed his approach. He'll be fine for this one so long as he hasn't had an injury or something.

Heard on a Joe Rogan podcast that Khabib started a camp weighing less than he usually does. Meaning he used to start at 200 and work towards 155 but this time he started at 180-ish.
