Ferentz's Emphasis on the ISU Game

As a tangent I ran into @CyTwins saying how bad Iowa's OL depth was and how thin we are on the line. HAHA. We have played 8 OL, and have depth and actually rotate one of the guard positions most game because multiple players deserve playing time.

So I was wrong on your OL and back 7. Your OL has more depth than I thought and your back 7 is much worse than I thought

Oh man, that sucks. Do you think we can finish in the top 100 at least defensively? I mean a good DL can't overcome that bad of back 7.

You play in the Big Ten West so you will probably finish pretty well in defensive rankings because of the offenses you face. Hornibrook is pretty bad and he looked like Aaron Rodgers against you guys

Hornibrook torch the turnover chain crew last year. He is much better than every other QB we have faced this year.

Texas allowed more yards vs Maryland than any other team they have played so far (TCU, KState and USC). Purdue is averaging nearly 500 YPG. Nebraska and Illinois are averaging 110 YPG more than ISU. Sure we get some easy games where the team plays no offense like NIU, ISU, Minnesota and Northwestern, but for the most part the remaining teams on the schedule have all shown they are capable of moving the ball.

Should I be nervous about this with our back 7 being so much worse they you could have every possibly imagined?

The worst we've seen by far this year
You averaged 5.5 yard per attempt vs. the worst back 7 you've seen this year? That's not good. Especially when you consider your coaches spent all season disregarding film to maximize talent. If I were you, I'd start pointing fingers!

You guys are good, the big ten doesn't pass the ball. The dbacks can probably just hang out and check out the opposing cheerleaders until they need to leave the field.

I mean you'll probably lose at least 2 more regular season games with one of the weakest schedules in the country so I guess it comes down to your expectations

Wait a handicapped ISU played terrible in a non conference game they don't care about?

9-3 would be fantastic! I mean losing to two top 10 teams is gonna happen. Take care of the rest of the schedule and you got a shot at a 10th win in a bowl game. I'll take it! If ISU could get to 8 wins it would really help out our SOS, do you think ISU can get there?

You gotta wonder if CMC should be the OC. If ISU even had Brian Ferentz they probably win the Iowa and TCU games, that would just really bad work out of your OC in those games.

So you're 0-2 in games you care about? That's not good. Accord to you, ISU has the best RB in the country, All conference TE, an awesome WR unit, one of the best OLines CMC has ever coached, All-American DT, 2 all conference CB's, better at every LB spot than Iowa, Eisworth, etc... Maybe your coaches shouldn't have ignored film in the off season.

I never said that

Ok? Penn state will probably be top ten, but who is the other loss to? I was thinking that PSU was the only decent team left on the schedule.

Double checked the rankings. Iowa doesn't play any top tens unless they make the championship. So which teams are shooting up to the top ten?
