It's starting to miss me off how pathetic the Cards have been. Something tells me they won't roll over quite as easily against the Cubs

Cardinal runner fell rounding 3rd base that would have tied the game, sigh.
Hope they’re mentally shot now.Cardinals getting swept against the Brewers is proof, if it was ever needed, the cardinal way is dead.
The mindset in that clubhouse, not the talent, wouldn’t have allowed a sweep in such a crucial series against the Brewers 5-10 years ago
Walked 2 guys and now Cishek in and he can't get anyone out either.Did Carl just blow up again?
I beg to differ with this opinion. I don't for one second believe the Cards "rolled over." Milwaukee absolutely crushed them last night, put up 6 runs against them the night before and, other than Hader's brief meltdown in the first game, the bullpen has been lights out. The past two weeks MLB.com has awarded the Milwaukee bullpen "tops" in the major league. The Milwaukee of the past (I'm specifically looking at 2014) would likely have shriveled up at the end. Heck, last year they were unable to overcome key injuries (Jimmy Nelson's injury was the nail in the coffin) & came up short. This year is MUCH different (and Cubs fans should know that the Brewers have a lot of fight in them based upon head-2-head match-ups this year). The Crew could still lose 3 in a row to Detroit - but they have looked like a playoff club that is to be reckoned with. I know I am a Brewers fan - but MLB has been my favorite sport since I was in 8-9 years old (40+ years) - and the Brewers just flat out took it to the Cards, in the same way that past teams "with a mission and different mindset" do to their opponents when the postseason is on the line. The same can be said for the Rox over the past couple of weeks, too. They are simply BEATING teams (and looking fairly impressive doing it). It's starting to miss me off how pathetic the Cards have been. I'd agree with your assessment, with one minor change: Milwaukee's bullpen was solid last year (& that included a proven core of Hader, Knebel and Jeffress). But, yes, they had to replace Duke and Schwarzak who pitched quite well & the guys that replaced them have surprised me with their play. Although we made the playoffs & have been playing good ball, I fully expect a dogfight with whomever we play in the postseason.Hate to admit it but I agree.
Don’t even know who it is but the pitching coach deserves a raise and a spot in the HOF. To take absolute trash starters and a pretty bad bullpen from the outside looking in and have the season that crew has had is unheard of.
