How 'bout them Cowboys?

For some reason I keep waiting for the day that they won't get so many penalties. I'm starting to think I should stop waiting.

Pass rush was disappointing tonight, but it's almost unfair how easy they make moving the ball look.

amen. we gift wrapped some stuff...I still get excited thinking about what we could have done with the DeSean Jackson play had it not been blown dead.

I think Romo is the one of the most impossible guys to rattle...nothing bugs that guy.

I do agree those penalties need to dimish a little. That pass interference was BS, but we also got away with some facemasks.

The facemasks were infuriating. Really, there wasn't much else that could have gone against them tonight. And they still managed to pull it out. Good sign as far as I'm concerned.

T.O. was great...Witten was great...Romo was great when he can hang on to the ball. Too many penalties...but nice job going to 2-0. Felix Jones looked like Devin Hester

That's because he's had so much practice at sucking.

Nothing rattles JC or Stanzi either.

Defense needs to get more pressure on the QB. I do think the secondary did a decent job with how much time they were forced to cover guys. Oh, would the old Roy Williams please stand up?

Special teams - awesome. Love having a guy that can be dangerous returning kicks and a kicker that can make 'em from way back. Getting that FG at the end of the first half with very little time left was huge. Major props to the offense and kicker.

Offense was cookin' tonight. Cowboy fans better just get used to a dumb play or two from Romo about every week. He's a guy that will take risks. I do love his attitude though - not much seems to phase him.

And I could watch Barber run and Witten catch the football all night long.

A lot left to play - great win last night - but there are some big tests on the horizon. And we still have not won a playoff game since I was in high school. That's a damn long time ago.

Speaking of the game, any idea who was doing the ESPN radio color commentary last night? It sounded like a mix of the Waterboy and the Magic Johnson character on Family Guy. Impossible to understand a word he said. Sounded like Ronnie Lott came out of broadcasting retirement...

Roy is going to be out for about a month. He broke his arm last night.

Regarding special teams, why did we have a couple drives that started on like the 10 or inside? I was studying while watching the game, and I didn't catch that. Penalties, I assume?

Just don't kill yourselves after the beating they get this weekend

I will say this, your new golden boy will find conditions a bit more pressure packed then when he came into Big D and threw the ball around a bit with us sending the house on every play. Once we backed off and played standard defense - he didnt score and we beat him up too.

Couple things on last nights game:
Felix Jones is worthy of the pick. I wasnt giving him enough credit - but that guy is a player. His abilities on Kickoffs alone puts everyone on the edge of their seats - name the last Cowboys returner that did that - Golden Richards?

D-Line - i was happy with the pressure - they didnt wear down against the biggest line in the nfl - they will fair much better against GB.

O-line - they will wear the Pack out up front, watch our 4th quarter runs will be gashing that defense and Felix will have a big run.

Secondary - wow did they get burned a couple of times. They need to get that under control.

Folk - i was pissed when they didnt pick crosby, guess that's why they judge the players and not me.....Folk is a stud!!!!

We go into GB next week and win and we will solidify our claim as top dog int he NFC but one thing - how does the Giants keep stormin on, that DL has been practically dismantled and they had 6 sacks yesterday....amazing.

Go Cowboys!!!! We're ready to become the first franchise with 6 rings....

Yup, I saw that about Roy earlier today.

One of the drives was the fouled up kick off return by Stanbeck. Next play Romo fumbled in the end zone.

I think the other was on a good punt by Philly.

The Dallas-GB game should be a good one this Sunday night. It will be a test for Rodgers though, as he'll be asked to do more this weekend than he was the previous 2 weeks. He did well against the Dallas defense last year coming off the bench, but now the Cowboys have a chance to prep for him.

I firmly believe Dallas should win this game - overall they're just a better team. But, we'll find out.

Except for the Playoffs.

I think everyone expected Dallas to be this good. I was impressed but I am more impressed with the Eagles so far. I don't think many people thought they would play at this high of a level offensively.
