Per Jon Miller Iowa>Bucky

I just hate the "better team lost" argument. Can you take positives away from a loss? Sure. But to suggest a team lost solely due to their own mistakes is asinine. First, it puts an emphasis on a certain period of time being more important than others, which is complete nonsense. Sure, maybe Iowa played best the first 3 quarters, but that 4th quarter winds up being pretty damn important. So you may have played better for a larger portion of the game, but that's entirely meaningless. And to act like a mistake here or there did you in is also short sighted. It's not as though Wisconsin didn't have mistakes throughout.

The score is all that matters. The "better team lost" stuff in nonsense. I see Miller and Leisitkow have, not unexpectedly, jumped on that bandwagon and I find it so comical.
Spot on. Hate it too.

Good for him, I'm glad he could recover from his performance against OU.

Never even heard of the guy and I follow recruiting pretty close. Doesn't show an Iowa offer on Rivals or 247, not sure why you feel the need to lie about an offer? Not that I care, ISU will beat Iowa on recruits from time to time.

Greg Eisworth Turing Into A Star

Minus a botched tackle against Oklahoma, Greg Eisworth is turning heads. I am fully becoming a believer in what he brings to Iowa State’s defense. For the second Saturday in a row, Eisworth led Iowa State in tackles, lining up at multiple spots on the field. The way he flies to the football and diagnoses plays as they happen is certainly fun to watch. He also recorded a team-high three pass deflections. In a position that Iowa State was worried about coming into the season, Eisworth has proved to ease those concerns.

It was a team loss.

I'm not saying it wasn't, your entire defense got gouged by Wisconsin. I'm just asking because usually Iowa has at least one really good CB and it doesn't appear they have even a decent one

On a positive note I thought Hooker played real well minus the TD he gave up

Isn't the score the best indication of the "better team." Even in a case like Akron vs Northwestern, Northwestern doubled the yards Akron had but lost because of turnovers. The better team would be expected to have more yards but the better team would also be expected to make fewer mistakes and capitalize on opportunities. It's the nature of fans to see the ways they could have won while ignoring the mistakes the other team made (and won anyway) Murphy was dishing out the same crap last night. Iowa fans are divorced from reality in how great they think their team is and how great their program is. Did the "better team" win when they played THE Ohio State last year?

Good for him, I would have hated to see him struggle all year like he did vs OU.

This is where you're uneducated. You saw him miss one tackle and thought he struggled the whole game. Hooker gave up a crucial TD but I actually think he played well overall. Just the difference in educations

Did Jon to the podcast In monotone.

Hey Jon the better team didn't win, the better team didn't make stupid mistakes.

I don't know why it is a surprise the media reacts this way to an Iowa loss. Most times they think Iowa is the best team. Look at their reaction when ISU beats them. Most think Iowa always goes on to have this amazing year and is so much better than ISU after losing to them. 9 time out of 10 that is not the case at all.
